A group of students in Environ 391: Sustainability and the Campus are trying to change the perception of sustainability on campus. Yes, it's a daunting task, but they're giving it a shot. Recently, they've focused on making sure that Red Cups get recycled.

We are working on creating a wiki database that has all the information about SSI and sustainability at the University of Michigan, including past ideas, projects and partnerships. The wiki will be ready by March 2012.

Plastic water bottles are wasteful. We are working on ways to reach out to students and encourage behavior change towards more sustainable choices, including tap water and reusable water bottles.

If you haven't heard, Ohio State's football stadium went zero waste last year! Although they are facing challenges (naturally), we applaud their ambitious efforts. We are currently exploring the feasibility of such a project at the University of Michigan.
